Read our latest blog from our MA in History graduate Stephen Griffin and his UL experience here.

If you’re looking for a challenge, if you want to identify any historical problem and if you want to find a solution to that problem, I would most definitely recommend the MA to others. If you want to learn good communication skills, writing skills, speaking skills, presentation skills, deal with questions, deal with people, you’ll learn a lot of that doing the MA . – MA History Graduate, Stephen Griffin

I would definitely recommend the course to people who want to get involved in the more practical side of presenting history to the public. The course allowed for a lot of free thinking and creativity, especially in the digital humanities module. – MA in Public History and Cultural Heritage Graduate,Deirdre Cuss

MA History of Family / (Online)

Hear from our graduate Carmel, about her experience of the MA in History of the Family here.

The MA programme caters for individual learning and offers great support from the lecturers and the History department.  It is a stepping stone for those wishing to pursue further academic studies but also teaches skills and experience that can be valuable in many workplace environments.  These skills and newly learned constructs can be transposed in other non-related fields and therefore are life-long requisites. – MA in History of Family Graduate, Carmel McEvey

MA Local History

From the first day, we met the Course Director, Dr David Fleming and he brought us around and showed us the important land marks on the campus, that was a great start to what really was and is a very supportive environment for this kind of study. – MA in Local History Student, Noel Murphy
