PHOTOS: AHSS graduations 26th August 2019

Yesterday saw hundreds of our students from the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences conferred at the University Concert Hall, including 15 of our PhD students.

During conferrings, Dr Darina Slattery (School of English, Irish and Communication) was awarded the Excellence in the Provision of Pedagogic Support award as part of the UL Teaching Excellence Award.

After the ceremony, the Dean of AHSS hosted a reception for our PhD graduates, where prizes for best FYPs were awarded to our fourth year graduates:

  • Alice Sheridan, Politics and Public Administration FYP Award, presented by Professor Neil Robinson
  • Emma O’Brien, Sociology FYP award, presented by Professor Ross MacMillan
  • Meghan Flanagan, European Studies Prize, presented by Professor Emeritus Eddie Moxon Browne
  • Shaunagh Marie O’Reilly, Centre for Early Modern Studies FYP Award, presented by Richard Kirwan and Carrie Griffin

The first cohort of our online BA in Applied Policing and Criminal Justice graduated yesterday.
