Department of Sociology PhD Candidate, Niamh Dillon, was invited to the launch of Asylum Narratives, a special edition of the Studies in Arts and Humanities journal, on 30th January.

Niamh’s research is included in this collection of academic essays, journal reflections, observations, audio and video recordings, photography and poetry. The collection was put together following the Asylum Narratives Colloquium in 2017 which marked the designation of DCU as Ireland’s first University of Sanctuary.

This special edition focuses on the experiences of C and refugees and offers an insight into what narratives on asylum can consist of.

Niamh’s scrutiny of intercultural models of integration can be accessed here.
