Aoife Finnerty presents at the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics 13th World Conference

Aoife Finnerty, a PhD student in the School of Law, presented her paper entitled ‘Pregnancy and Irish Law; History, Recent Updates and the Eight’ at the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics 13th World Conference on Bioethics, Medical Ethics and Health Law on November 28th in Jerusalem, Israel.

Her paper explores the complex relationship between the law in Ireland and pregnancy, in particular in relation to medical treatment.

Additionally, she co-chaired the Medical Law Panel with Dr. Imogen Goold from St. Anne’s College, Oxford.

Her participation in the conference was partially funded by the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.
