The inaugural Research Week @ UL will run from the 3 – 7 December with many events taking place across the campus. Research Week is an opportunity for our research community, from PhD to Professor, to connect, explore innovative practices and celebrate our research excellence and impact.
The week will kick off with a one-day masterclass on academic publishing delivered by Nature. A Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (AHSS) research symposium on the theme of ‘Identity and Justice’ will showcase research from across the Faculty on 5th December. Highlighting the breadth of research and demonstrating the connections within AHSS, this seminar will bring together short papers on the theme. AHSS has made significant contributions in the area of Identity and Justice, including the work of the Hate and Hostility Research Cluster, research on song and social protest, on marginalised histories, on Traveller Rights and Identity, on singing and sustainable social integration, and on linguistics and inclusion, among others.
