Postgraduate Course of the Year in Law

  • LLM/MA in Human Rights in Criminal Justice

Best New Course

  • Master of Arts in Serious Crime Investigation

The winners will be announced on Friday 23rd November 2018 at the annual gradIreland Higher Education Awards & Symposium.  These awards, now in their eighth year, are the blue riband event for higher education professionals, postgraduate admissions officers and course providers across the island of Ireland.

Speaking about the nominations, Prof. Helen Kelly Holmes, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences said:

“It is excellent to see our innovative programmes being recognised nationally and to see the diversity of specialisms in AHSS being reflected in the shortlist. This is a great way to profile our programmes.  Entering a course into a competition like this takes a lot of work, so I would like to thank the relevant Course Directors most sincerely for taking on this additional task. This has been a very good year for postgraduate studies in the Faculty. We made our postgraduate recruitment target and we also overshot our international postgraduate student recruitment target, so there is clearly demand for our range of exciting programmes. Good luck to the shortlisted programmes.”

Two of the Faculty’s courses were winners in 2017. The Master of Laws LLM (General) at the School of Law, won Postgraduate Course of the Year in Law, and the MA in Technical Communication and E-Learning (School of English, Irish and Communication) won Postgraduate Course of the year in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.

Congratulations to all in our Faculty who have worked so hard to make our courses a success!
