UL Historian appointed to Royal Irish Academy’s Historical Studies Committee

kirwanMany congratulations to Dr Richard Kirwan (Department of History & Centre for Early Modern Studies, Limerick), who has been appointed to the Royal Irish Academy’s Historical Studies Committee.

This is a multidisciplinary committee that incorporates Classics, Near Eastern Studies, Archaeology and History. The Royal Irish Academy multidisciplinary committees aim to promote co-operation across and within relevant scholarly disciplines and to advise Academy engagement in these areas.

They do this through their programme of work, combining public engagement events, expert statements, responding to Government consultations and working with relevant international unions.
