As part of the EU-funded TecCOMFrame project, UL hosted a project meeting, an academic colloquium, and a meeting of technical communication teachers last week (April 25th – 27th).
On Wednesday, the twelfth transnational TecCOMFrame project meeting took place.
On Thursday, 55 delegates from nine countries attended the European Academic Colloquium on Technical Communication Studies. This event included presentations by researchers in industry and academia, as well as UL PhD students in Technical Communication and Instructional Design.
On Friday morning, seventeen technical communication teachers from Europe and the United States discussed collaboration opportunities, internationalisation, and research in technical communication.
The TecCOMFrame project is funded by Erasmus + Key Action 2. The events were also supported by the School of English, Irish, and Communication, and tekom Europe, the European Association for Technical Communication.
The project began in September 2015, and will conclude this year. The project team have developed a competence framework and prototype curricula for technical communication. Yvonne Cleary is one of eight academic partners in the project.
