Students on the LL.M./M.A. Human Rights in Criminal Justice master’s programme visited Henry Street Garda Station on Wednesday 18th April for an educational tour.

Accompanied by Course Director Dr Ger Coffey, our students were given a tour of the station by Garda Sharon Ivory which included the reception area for prisoners, interview rooms, custody suite, communications room, evidenser (intoxilyser machine) and the Automated Fingerprint Integrated System (AFIS).

The educational tour facilitated students’ deeper understanding of the practicalities and the challenges of policing and human rights in the criminal justice process.
