We are delighted to congratulate our Journalism students for their big win at the National Student Media Awards, more popularly known as the Smedias.

The Limerick Voice, a newspaper published by Journalism students as part of their studies at the University of Limerick, was named Newspaper of the Year. The award was presented by The Irish Times’ news editor, Mark Hennessy at a ceremony last night, 19th April, in Dublin.

UL’s Mark Boylan also won the Sports Writer of the Year category.
