VIDEO: UL Politics lecturer addresses Citizen’s Assembly on Fixed Term Parliaments

Dr Rory Costello (Department of Politics and Public Administration, University of Limerick) addressed the Citizen’s Assembly this weekend on the pros and cons of introducing a fixed-term parliament system. He said under the current system the Taoiseach can call an election when the Government party is popular, and can also surprise opponents.
