School of Modern Languages and Applied Linguistics Language Outreach Programme (LOP)

Would you like to learn a language this Academic Year?

The School of Modern Languages and Applied Linguistics is pleased to announce its Winter 2017 Language Outreach Programme (LOP).

  • Evening language courses for general purposes in French*, German, Japanese, Spanish and Chinese will be offered.
  • Each course will consist of 40 hours class contact, over 20 weeks.
  • Classes will be held from 18.00 to 20.00 on one evening per week (Tuesdays or Wednesdays, depending on the language/level.) starting in week 3, i.e. 19th/ 20st September 2017.

* Preparation for the Diplôme de Langue Française is also possible. For more information, please contact Dominique Le Meur (dominique.lemeur@ul.ie).

Fees:

General public: €350, including class material

UL/MIC faculty and staff: €350, including class material. The University of Limerick has agreed to a 50% refund of the fees, i.e. €175 for UL faculty and staff members on successful completion of the course, including 60% attendance.

Application procedure:

  • Register online at www.ul.ie/mlal/lop
  • Participants will be notified by phone or email of the class starting date.
  • The full course fee must be paid on the enrolment evening, i.e. the evening of the first class. Please note: no refunds will be given once courses have commenced.

Please also note that in the event of insufficient enrolments, we may not be able to offer all languages and/or levels.
