Welcome reception for new Structured PhD and MA TESOL students

The School of Modern Languages and Applied Linguistics and TESOL/Linguistics section were delighted to welcome a new cohort of Structured PhD and MA TESOL students at a reception on Friday 9th September sponsored by our research Centre, CALS (Centre for Applied Language Studies). The new cohorts, three on the PhD and 13 on the MA, were joined by students already working on their doctoral research, as well as faculty from the School MLAL, Education and Professional Studies and Mary Immaculate College. Dr Freda Mishan, as Course Director of the Structured PhD and MA TESOL, and Professor Helen Kelly-Holmes as Director of CALS, gave short welcome speeches.
